new skin

Posted by: kristine In: How to's

If you scroll down to near the bottom of this page, there are 3 different skin options for you – I added a new one this morning – pick your favorite, they all rock!!!

AND, there's a new link below each post that says "email this." You can click this button and send a link to a post to a friend. Thanks to David for the great tutorial for this!

Enjoy!

This new skin is very nice! The 'go' buttons in the recent comments section overlap the text slightly on my browser, though.

CSS is great isn't it? :)

I love the new skins, but speaking of skinning…help??
I have been working on it all day using domesticat's tutorial, and I can't get it to work? *sigh* Might any one of you possibly be available to answer a few questions from a php-wannabe??

Hey Tricia – if you want to e-mail me or IM me (AIM – Hey Lynda) I will try to help you.

Hard to post code and all on the site. :)

I know, LoL….I wasn't sure if any of you would appreciate you begging you directly, that's why I posted here *grin* I am at work right now (hehehe), but as soon as I get home I will e-mail you, ok? And I know Row e-mailed me earlier, and I wrote her back with some things, so I hope she gets back to me too! 😉
Thanks SO much!!

Is there a way to skin comments, when you use a popup? Do you have to have 'individual entries' turned on?

I'm in the process of setting up MT on my new domain now… I'd forgotten how complicated and confusing it was! :(

I think Christine (blahblahblog) found a way to do it. Since you get a straight cgi page with popup comments, you have to do a workaround, but I have no clue what it is or could be.

Partly with Christine's help, and partly on my own (with kudos to Amy's skinning tut) I figured out a very nice way of doing it. And I'd be happy to share, although I'm no good at writing tutorials!

The workaround is to use the individual archive as the pop-up window for the comments. That way you can skin those – and I made special "light" skins for them. I'll work on writing up how I did it, but it will be next week sometime before it's done. I'll be posting it here!
