Will let you temporarily take down comments on all posts by activating the plugin (I'm guessing you deactivate the plugin when you want to bring commenting back online). Good for battling a comment flood. Take down blog plugin will display a simple page asking readers to come back again [...]

Customizable Post Listings plugin by coffee2code
As described on his site: Display Recent Posts, Recently Commented Posts, Recently Modified Posts, and other post listings using the post information of your choosing in an easily customizable manner (so no need to tweak plugin code). You can narrow post searches by specifying categories and/or authors, among other things.

Haven't visited the plugin page on the wiki in a while and found a few plugins I'd like to play with at some point:
PictPress
(as stated on the wiki) : automatically add thumbnails and pictures for all images in a directory when publishing a post.
SnailGallery
create a static gallery of images inside a post.
Comment Moderation auto-switch on [...]
Another find from weblogtoolscollection - This plugin grabs custom content like "moods" and "listening to".

Got a new PC-Phone - this one comes with a camera. So I've been looking for a way to do moblogs with WP - and found this:

Now this is very slick. She had some earlier versions of this script, which would add everything and anything to the "spam words" list - but this latest version lets you pick and choose what will be added - as well, it doesn't appear that you need to modify any core WP code. VERY nice!
