		<description>There is another mechanism to do this as well, explained on the &lt;a href="http://wiki.wordpress.org/AutomaticUpdate"&gt;wiki&lt;/a&gt;, but the plugin method seems much easier for users. 

Pity, because I used the old method for all the plugins I wrote... I hope the two are compatible.</description>

		<description>Looks promising.  The only caveat is that you have to disable and renable any plugins that support it, after enabling the updater.  However, I've contacted the author with two different ideas for working around that.  Perhaps something like this will make it into WP 1.3</description>
