prevent duplicate comments

Here’s an MT hack that will prevent double comment posts.

(You can see the comment thread in the last post, but that Javascript method of disabling the button will not work - so this is rather timely!) :D

    I’ve noticed that on ScriptyGoddess, you have a ‘please wait’ page that pops up while the comment is being posted. Is there a tip for that on here anywhere? I poked around a bit, but didn’t come up with anything, and that might work just as well for my particular case.

    Michael - that’s because of the “subscribe to comments” script I have running. That script can be found here.

    I don’t use MT, but I have a problem commenting on MT blogs — my browser hangs and the comment ends up being posted three or four times, even though I only hit ‘post’ once. Hopefully everyone using MT will install this hack, and keep me from looking foolish!! :D
